Two junior doctors on rotation in north London used the Help to Buy Equity Loan scheme to secure a one-bed apartment at Hornsey Town Hall in Crouch End.
Paul Kim, 34, and Faith Jeon, 32, reserved the apartment off-plan after seeing the quality of materials and high-end appliances in the Hornsey Town Hall marketing suite. They were also fascinated by the ethos behind renovating and restoring a heritage development, and that relatives can stay in the hotel when they visit.
The apartment has underfloor heating, a great layout and provides easy access to an array of local amenities and public transport.
New-build properties are a popular choice with first time buyers as access to government schemes result in lower deposits and boosted affordability. New-build homes are much more energy-efficient, meaning homeowners are less likely to be stung by rising heating bills.
